***Please Read The Entire Post….Very Important!!! I have thought long and hard about this post and whether or not to post it. In the end posting it was the right thing to do for me and for my over 5000 followers that I know I influence into making purchases! Several weeks ago my nail beds became very sensative and just doing everyday things was painful. As time went on as I did day to day things my nails were easily what it looked like pulling away from the nail bed and turning somewhat discolored. It started on my left hand which was my swatching hand and then as I began to have more issues with the left I moved to my right hand and started painting them. Currently almost every finger on both hands has lifted from the nail bed or is in the process of it. Yesterday I heard chatter about @mentalitynailpolish having issues with a base they had been using. I then started to research deeper and realized I totally missed the Important Announcement post they put up on their page 2 days prior because my feed moves so fast I missed it. It happens to a lot of us! The major issue with the base that Mentality was using and it was in all the Neon Jelly Holo Collection polishes that I had been using a ton since I bought them 13 weeks ago! This in turn has caused this lifting & almost like a chemical damage on my nailbeds. Some people it affects immediately & some slowly over time! Mine happened slowly over a period of time. If you have any of their polishes please go to their page and read the Important Announcement post. I urge everyone to not use their polish until you are sure it does not contain the bad base. They are asking you to email them so please do so!!! I do not want anyone ending up in the same position as me and several other girls. I also am trying to help spread the word because I missed it so I know others did too!!! This photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, my nails are worse now which is why they are so short in current photos! I have to just keep cutting the lifted part off. March 3, 2015. I didn’t take a lot of photos because I honestly thought something was wrong with ME and I was completely and totally embarrassed by them. I had no idea what was going. Neither did the Drs. I had been struggling with this since Sept2014. Creams, subsequent infections, lost a thumbnail, lifting nails that got so bad I couldn’t even wash my hair (cutting them short didn’t totally prevent them from catching and pulling back more). It was a terrible time for me. #mentalityburns Please see previous entry for new information. **what you see here is the damage just before it began to lift again. It hurt. Beyond words. They would swell, blisters would form under the nail itself, eventually pop, ooze junk and the nails would be lifting at that point. Reaction time seemed to be a couple days after exposure that you really noted something was going wrong.

@Regrann from @dmm_nails – In lieu of Mentality polish releasing a New Gloss line today FOR Sale To The Public…..BUYER BEWARE!!! I just want everyone to be aware of the true damage that this companies polishes did to well over 50 people from all over the world over the past several months. The scary thing is those are the only ones we know about. What about all the folks that aren’t active on social media, what about the folks who just shop online and go directly to their website. They are the ones who have no idea and will actually pay the price and probably already are. This is one of the photos I emailed to Mentality on July 24th to alert them of the damage I was experiencing after use of their product. I so happened to stumble upon the weak excuse of an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT post on their IG back on July 22nd warning if you are having any reactions please discontinue use. They blamed it on the Arminex base. It is not the base, it is something Mentality is putting in their product!! How do I know this???? Because several people have had reactions from the supposedly NEW, GOOD bottles that were done with with a different base. That tells me he is doing something he should not be doing to these polishes, to cause the chemical burns that myself and many others have experienced. We are still trying to heal after 5 months of non use. This company that places blame on Arminex never even sent off the faulty product to be tested to know for sure what the problem was. Instead he just keeps shifting blame and is now trying to start up a new line of polishes. We need to spread these images far and wide so everyone can see the true extent of damage that this company has caused too so many of us. Βέβαια από τότε που έγινε θέμα με τα προϊόντα της, η εταιρεία έχει αποσύρει τη βάση Arminex και την έχει αντικαταστήσει με άλλη.

#mentalityburns Mentality nail polish, the gift that keeps on giving. Last night I noticed my nails have lifted again, following the really bad flare up I had in October. I have been using a fab oil by @amcosmeticsco but no matter how good the oil is, the damage was already done prior to me starting to use it. The oil has done wonders with my skin though and made my nails grow really well! To hide it, I painted my nails (top right) with OPI DS Glamour… but today I could see the ridges all day and decided to clip my nails off as low as needed and start afresh (bottom right). Και ενώ η εταιρεία διαβεβαίωσε τους καταναλωτές ότι θα τους αποζημιώσει με τα καινούργια προϊόντα της, ο κόσμος παραμένει οργισμένος για τον τρόπο που χειρίστηκε το θέμα.

Πολλοί πιστεύουν ότι η εταιρεία δεν έχει πάρει το θέμα στα σοβαρά, ονομάζοντας την αντίδραση του σώματος στο Arminex, ‘ευαισθησία’.

Τα περισσότερα παράπονα στη σελίδα της εταιρείας στο Facebook έχουν διαγραφεί από τότε.
